(KRON) — Although K-pop girl group Red Velvet has never officially toured the Bay Area, one of its members is coming here as a solo artist. Wendy is headlining a San Francisco show later this fall, the singer announced in an Instagram post.

The lone Bay Area stop, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 30, is part of Wendy’s “W:EALIVE” world tour. It is Wendy’s first solo world tour, and the 15-city tour is set to begin in Seoul on Sept. 20.

The venue has not been announced for the San Francisco show. Other U.S. stops on Wendy’s tour include Pasadena, Chicago and Brooklyn.

Wendy’s 2021 song “Like Water” is the artist’s most-watched music video to date, garnering more than 19 million views.

Since debuting in 2014, Red Velvet has become one of the most successful third-generation K-pop girl groups.

The quintet is active, but other members have released solo projects of their own. Earlier this month, Joy released her first mini-album “From JOY, with Love.”
