Hurricane Erin causes erosion on Jersey beaches

STRATHMERE, NJ — Hurricane Erin may not have made landfall in the United States, but the storm still caused significant beach erosion.

Some beach access paths in New Jersey were made unusable. Crews began moving sand Monday morning during low tide in Strathmere.

The work will continue throughout the week, to get the beaches ready for a busy Labor Day Weekend.
