Police say the discovery was made by crews cutting grass along Waverly Road.
“I never seen anything like that. I don’t know why it was meant for us to see that together, but it happened,” said Zorn Robinson, an employee working for the City of West Memphis.
The discovery of the deceased man is not far from the busy construction site for the Google Data Center.
“It just shocked me. I saw some clothes. I was fixing to get off the tractor and pick up some clothes, but ended up there was a man laying there,” said Andrew Dear, an employee for the City of West Memphis.
A cause of death has not been released, but West Memphis workers say they saw nothing unusual in his appearance.
“His hat and shoes was on, laced and tied u, pants was above his waist with his belt on. Like he was just placed there,” Robinson said.
There is no new information at this time; this is still an active investigation.
