What’s going on with CBD shops in Abilene?

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Abilene police have begun enforcement actions against businesses that missed compliance deadlines, citing potential violations of state and city regulations. The CBD House of Healing responded, emphasizing its commitment to compliance and transparency, while confirming a temporary pause in operations. Back in July, the Abilene Police Department notified local businesses that selling or displaying drug-related paraphernalia violated both the Texas Health and Safety Code and city zoning regulations.

Businesses were given written notice and 30 days to comply. On Saturday, Abilene police began enforcement.

Officers served a search warrant at a business on the 3600 block of Catclaw Drive and confiscated thousands of illegal items and paraphernalia. The CBD House of Healing shared that this has caused a temporary hold on operations.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
