Gov. Landry announces leadership changes for 2 Louisiana agencies

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Gov. Jeff Landry named new leaders for two Louisiana agencies, the Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) and the Department of Energy and Natural Resources (DENR).

“Louisiana is at a turning point, and these leaders will help us build a stronger future for our state. I have full confidence in this team to deliver for the people of Louisiana. From strengthening our infrastructure to securing our energy future, this leadership will help us grow our economy, create jobs, and protect our way of life,” Landry said.

He named Julia Fisher-Cormier as deputy secretary and Eric Dauphine as assistant secretary of project delivery at DOTD. Dauphine was named as deputy secretary in June to aid Secretary Glenn Ledet in creating the framework for the new Office of Project Delivery.

The new office aims to streamline projects, while the Office of Transformation, led by Fisher-Cormier, will oversee efficiency.

“Both Julia and Eric’s skill sets are a perfect fit for these roles, and I am ready to work with both of them to transform DOTD and transportation delivery across our great state,” Ledet said.

Legislation was passed during the regular session to restructure DENR. According to Landry’s office, Deputy Secretary Dustin Davidson will move into the role of secretary, and Chief Resilience Officer Stephen Swiber will serve as deputy secretary.

“Dustin has been invaluable in his service as deputy to the department, always ready to step in and move us forward. He will be an outstanding leader, and Stephen will bring the intellectual curiosity and professionalism needed to continue refining the work we’ve built together for Louisiana,” Secretary Tyler Gray said.

Changes will become effective Sept. 2.
