The Sheriff’s office aims to raise awareness about gun violence through its new initiative, ‘My Brother’s Keeper,’ which was created to bring together residents, families, and local organizations to offer resources and encouragement. According to the press release, the event will feature guest speaker ‘Moms on a Mission,” an organization committed to empowering women who have lost a child to gun violence. In addition to their support for mothers, the organization also provides mentorship and youth programs.
The event will feature entertainment, including a special Jeep Show presented by the Trail Lizards Jeep Club. ‘My Brother’s Keeper’ will be held on Saturday, August 23, at Sheriff’s Safety Town, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
