The swimmer was last seen around 10:15 a.m. Saturday, according to SFFD. Rescuers searched San Francisco Bay and the shoreline but were unable to find the missing swimmer.
“The search for the missing swimmer has been suspended,” SFFD said. “After searching over an hour, nobody was found.”
The public was initially asked to avoid the popular swimming hole during the potential rescue mission. As of 4:11 p.m., the search has concluded.
