Police seek public’s help to find driver in fatal Eureka Springs hit-and-run
EUREKA SPRINGS, Ark. — Arkansas State Police officials are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of a pedestrian early Saturday morning on Highway 187, north of Eureka Springs.

Troopers were called to the scene near Nightingale Road around 2:45 a.m. after receiving reports of a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle.

Upon arrival, they discovered a victim who was pronounced dead at the scene by the Carroll County coroner around 3:30 a.m. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.

Police are searching for a newer model white Chevrolet pickup believed to be involved in the incident. Authorities are urging anyone who was in the area at the time or has information related to the investigation to contact Troop L at (479) 751-6663.

The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
