Police investigating fatal shooting in the French Quarter
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A man was shot and killed Sunday, Aug. 24 in the French Quarter.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, officers received reports of a shooting around 3:12 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Royal and Iberville Streets. Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering multiple gunshot wounds. The man was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
No further information is available. The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will identify the man upon completion of the autopsy and notification of the family.
