David Pazos, a spokesperson for the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, said that just minutes before 9 a.m., crews responded to a crash with someone possibly trapped on the inner loop of I-495 near the Virginia state line.
Once there, responders discovered that two cars had collided. No one was trapped; however, medics took one of the drivers, a woman, to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Pazos noted.
Officials said drivers could expect delays in the area Saturday morning while Maryland State Police worked to clear crash debris from the roadway. The Fairfax County Fire Department also responded to assist at the scene.
