CPD: 5-year-old boy shot in residence on Chicago’s South Side
CHICAGO (WGN) — A five-year-old boy was shot Sunday afternoon in a residence on the South Side of Chicago.
According to the Chicago Police Department, the incident occurred in the 4400 block of South Greenwood Avenue in the North Kenwood neighborhood just after 1:15 p.m.
The boy was inside the residence when he sustained a gunshot wound to the head, police say. He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition.
Area One Detectives are investigating. No further information was provided.
