Appalachian scored its first touchdown with around five minutes to play in the first quarter to take a 6-0 lead and they punched in another touchdown midway through the second to stretch the lead to 12-0 at halftime.
Early in the third quarter, the Eagles intercepted a Broncos pass and returned it for a touchdown to make it an 18-0 game. Later in the fourth, Appalachian found the end zone one more time to put the game out of reach for Holly Pond and secure a 25-0 win.
Holly Pond (0-1) will look to bounce back next week when they travel to Ray Talley Stadium for a county matchup against the Hanceville Bulldogs.
