The Texas-based ice cream producer announced on Friday that half-gallons of the popular Moo-llenium Crunch flavor were packaged in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream cartons at the Brenham, Texas, plant.
Consumers with allergies or severe nut sensitivities are at risk of adverse reactions or life-threatening allergic reactions if they eat these improperly packaged products.
An employee at the plant discovered the packaging error. Currently, there have been no reports of adverse reactions, and no other incorrect packaging has been found.
The incorrectly packaged half gallons were distributed through retail outlets in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida panhandle, Northwest Georgia, Southern Indiana, Southern Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Southwest Virginia.
Blue Bell advises customers to check the Moo-llenium Crunch half gallons packaged in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough containers with a Moo-llenium Crunch lid and with the following code on the top of the half gallon lid: 061027524.
Consumers who have purchased one of these half gallons can return the item to the place of purchase for a full refund. For more information, call 979-836-7977 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. CST or email consumerrelations@bluebell.com.
