UPDATE: As of 2:38 p.m., the left three lanes of I-65 northbound near mile marker 96 are now open, according to INDOT.


JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. — One person is dead in Johnson County after a motorcycle crash, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.

As of 11:38 a.m. on Saturday, all lanes of I-65 northbound near mile marker 96 are closed due to a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead on the scene, according to the Indiana State Police.

ISP said it will be an undetermined amount of time before lanes reopen, as the crash investigation has just begun.
