In the tropics, we are watching two areas of interest. The first is an area of low pressure north of Puerto Rico that will likely become Fernand within the next day. As it heads northward, it is expected to strengthen. Models show that this system should miss Bermuda to the east, but they will definitely get some impacts before it heads out into the northern Atlantic. The second is a tropical wave that is approaching the Lesser Antilles in the next few days. It is not expected to develop in the next week, but as it gets further into the Caribbean, conditions improve for development. We will watch this one, but there is no concern for any impacts at this point.
Locally, we will see dry conditions continue through Monday before rain chances return Tuesday. Better rain chances arrive Wednesday along another front. This front could bring drier and potentially some cooler weather for next weekend.
