According to Porterville Police, officers served a search warrant at a home on Newcomb Street near Tomah Avenue on Thursday morning following leads related to the possession and distribution of child pornography.
There, detectives say they developed probable cause to arrest 41-year-old Christopher Kyle for possession of matter depicting a minor engaging in sexual conduct and distribution of matter depicting a minor engaging in sexual conduct.
Detectives also say they found a 12-gauge shotgun, ammunition, and drug paraphernalia in a bedroom belonging to 63-year-old Danny Lee Slate, a convicted felon. He was also found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
Officials say Slate was booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office’s South County Detention Facility and is being held in lieu of $75,000 bail for being a felon in possession of a firearm, being a felon in possession of ammunition, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a loaded firearm while under the influence of a controlled substance.
Officials say Kyle is being held in lieu of $40,000 bail for possession and distribution of child pornography.
