SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A crash in Parley’s Canyon has led to lane closures of I-80 westbound, near milepost 130
The I-80 westbound lanes have been closed near milepost 130, due to a crash involving a semi-truck. According to the Utah Department of Transportaion (UDOT), all westbound lanes have been impacted.
The semi-truck that crashed was carrying beer, which spilled across multiple lanes on the highway, says UDOT.
Initial estimates say that the crash and spill may be cleared up by 8:00 p.m. There will likely be significant delays as a result of this incident and UDOT says there may be intermittent closures due to clean up efforts.
The cause of this incident is still under investigation, and it is still an active incident at this time. Travelers should seek alternate routes or postpone trips between Park City and Salt Lake, if possible.
