TREMONTON, Utah (ABC4) — Details for a public viewing and funeral services for the fallen Tremonton Garland Police officers have been announced for next week.

There will be a joint public viewing for Sorensen and Estrada at Bear River High School in Tremonton on Wednesday, August 27, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Funeral services for both officers will be held at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. Services for Officer Eric Estrada will take place on Thursday, August 28 at 10 a.m., and services for Sgt. Lee Sorensen will take place on Friday, August 29 at 10 a.m.
Following the funeral services, each officer will be laid to rest in a private burial.
After the news of this tragedy rocked the small Box Elder community, tributes have been pouring in. The Box Elder County Fair and Golden Spike Rodeo have been paying tribute, honoring Sorensen and Estrada at the parade and opening of the rodeo.
Local businesses have also been showing their support for local law enforcement by doing things like providing free coffee for the police department, providing area for a safe space for first responders, waiving labor fees for HVAC replacement for active and retired law enforcement, and offering free meals to police officers.
