NCDOT to close Coley Store Road due to pipe failure from heavy rain

LOCUST, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance crews are closing Coley Store Road in Locust due to a pipe failure caused by recent heavy rainfall.

Repairs will start on Thursday, Aug. 21, after crews gather the equipment needed to complete repairs, currently estimated to take at least four weeks. 

A signed detour will be in place along Bethel Church Road, Pond Road, and N.C. 24/27, returning to Coley Store Road.
