A man who was pulled from a burning mobile home in Corcoran early Thursday morning has died, authorities say.
According to the Rogers Fire Department, crews first responded to a report of a fire in the Maple Hill Estates trailer park around 1:30 a.m. Corcoran police officers found a man inside the home and got him out to safety. The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.
The Corcoran Police Department said one resident at the scene was trying to help put the fire out with a garden hose.
Two Corcoran police officers were treated at a hospital for smoke inhalation and have since been released.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the victim’s identity at a later time.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Editor’s note: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated the fire happened in Hamel.
