LONDON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A London man was arrested Wednesday evening after meth was supposedly found in his possession during a traffic stop.

In a Facebook post, the London Police Department said a K-9 sergeant assisted a Kentucky State Police trooper during a traffic stop around 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 20.

During the stop, K-9 Jett was reportedly released for a “free air sniff” of the 2011 Buick LaCrosse, where the dog “provided a conditioned response for the aroma of narcotics.”

Law enforcement then searched the vehicle, where they said two clear bags tied in a knot with a crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine were found inside a dollar store bag in the floorboard.
