Wilford Amoako Osei, 23, received two years in prison after using another person’s identity and credit card without their permission to order a firearm worth $1,249 in June 2024, before the victim’s card was reported lost or stolen.
The USAO noted that there were six incidents between June 24, 2024, and Aug. 30, 2024, where Osei tried to buy firearms using other people’s information and credit cards without their consent.
According to the USAO, Osei was able to successfully purchase one firearm from a federally licensed dealer in Woodbridge, but all other orders were blocked or cancelled before being fulfilled.
