Governor Sanders appoints Fortner, Bailey to Arkansas State Library Board


Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has named six Arkansans to the State Library Board, including two from the Twin Lakes area.Jack Fortner of Yellville and Annette Bailey of Mountain Home were among the appointees announced Friday. Both will serve terms that expire pursuant to law.
Fortner, a former Arkansas State Representative for district 4 and longtime advocate for the Twin Lakes areas joins  Bailey who has been involved in local organizations in Baxter County and brings community-focused experience to the board.




Other new appointees to the State Library Board include:

Lynlee McMillan of Benton

Sydney McKenzie of Rogers

Emmaline Pilkington of Knoxville

Clay Goff of Beebe

Sanders said the appointments reflect her commitment to ensuring the state’s public library system is guided by leaders representing communities across Arkansas.
