GoFundMe raises over $15K for child severely burned in Campbell County fire

CAMPBELL COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — The Campbell County community is rallying to help a child badly injured in a fire last week.

Just before 8 a.m. on Aug. 12, Braxtyn Kilgore, 3, was severely burned when flames ripped through his home. His father pulled him from the house, and he was rushed to the hospital with severe burns to his entire body.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

A GoFundMe, which has already raised over $15,300, said that the funds will go to help the family of seven restore the lives that were gone in the blink of an eye.

Investigators said the fire started after a kid was playing with a lighter.
