Deputies arrest ‘Bonnie and Clyde wannabes’ in Northern California

(FOX40.COM) — The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said it arrested “Bonnie and Clyde wannabes” after a failed robbery Thursday morning.

Shortly after midnight, SCSO said two suspects, Brian Ruvalcabadiaz, 30, Serena Kumiko Lee, 24, approached a vehicle and demanded money from the driver at gunpoint. The victim gave them money, and both suspects fled in a vehicle.

Less than half an hour later, deputies said they found the vehicle nearby and detained both suspects. A search revealed an unregistered firearm and narcotics.

According to SCSO, the man and woman were arrested for multiple felonies and transported to the Sacramento County Main Jail, where they remain on $50,000 bail. They are scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 25.
