Chef Tito Lock is the owner of the restaurant, located at 1433 St. Charles Ave. For Coolinary, his restaurant is offering three separate menus: lunch, brunch and dinner.
Brunch is offered on Saturday and Sunday. It’s three courses, including an appetizer, entree and dessert. Lunch is two courses, which include an appetizer and an entree. Dinner is three courses with an appetizer, entree and dessert.
“We’re going to have some of the traditional Peruvian dishes,” said Lock. “We cook from scratch almost all of our dishes, so it’s going to be fresh seafood. We try to use local product.”
Have you ever heard of “pisco”? Lock told WGNO’s Amy Russo his restaurant offers a lot of pisco, which are Peruvian spirits.
The decor also reflects Peruvian culture intertwining with Louisiana.
When talking about a mural that is showcased through the restaurant, Lock said, “That mural represents Peru and New Orleans. So, we kind of marry both of them together. So, the ambiance is going to be that. We are trying to put some dishes with some New Orleans style with Peru.”
