The Alo store is opening at 1380 Burlingame Ave., the former home of Arhaus Studio. It is next to Caffe Central and across the street from JOE & THE JUICE and Warby Parker. According to store signage on the window, the Alo store will open this winter — although no date has been specified.
The Arhaus Studio relocated down the street at 1230 Burlingame St., the furniture store said on its website. That location is now open.
Alo will have some competition in the downtown Burlingame shopping center. Fellow athleisure brands like Lululemon and Athleta neighbor the incoming Alo store.
The Burlingame Alo is already accepting job applications for its Operations & Visual Manager.
Alo currently has three stores in the Bay Area: Santa Clara, Walnut Creek and Palo Alto.
One of the markets the SoCal-based company hasn’t tapped in yet is San Francisco. Many residents in the city are often seen wearing the aforementioned athleisure brands. Currently, Lululemon, Athleta and Vuori have locations in San Francisco.
Alo was founded in 2007 by Danny Harris and Marco DeGeorge. The first Alo store opened in Beverly Hills in 2016.
It has since grown to be one of the biggest athleisure and apparel brands in the world — thanks to endorsements from celebrities like Jimmy Butler, Jisoo, Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber.
KRON4 reached out to Alo Yoga for more information about the store opening. We did not hear back in time for publication.
