Abilenian Joshua Ohlemacher joins race for Texas House District 71

The seat opened after current Representative Stan Lambert revealed he will retire and not seek re-election. So far, two candidates have stepped forward: Abilene City Councilman Blaise Regan and Ohlemacher.

Ohlemacher describes himself as a liberty-minded, principled conservative. A lifelong Texan and father of six, his campaign platform highlights reducing government overreach, cutting unnecessary spending, defending constitutional rights, and supporting strong borders with lawful immigration.
