Updates: Weak front brings chance of strong storms

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A weak cold front is making its way into the ArkLaTex and is serving as the trigger of scattered thunderstorms. A few of the storms will be strong and will bring the threat of gusty winds. Below is the latest outlook from the Storm Prediction Center. As of right now, we have a level 1, marginal severe weather risk with damaging wind being the biggest concern.

Storms are starting to develop over the northern half of the ArkLaTex early Wednesday afternoon. These will likely increase in strength and numbers during the rest of the day and then decrease on Wednesday evening and Wednesday night. More storms will be possible over mainly the southern half of the area on Thursday. Check back for occasional video updates.
