Pine Bluff Police arrest suspected kidnapper

PINE BLUFF, Ark. — Officials with the Pine Bluff Police Department said a suspected kidnapper of an 18-month-old child was arrested earlier this month.

Authorities said 29-year-old Desmond Marks allegedly forcibly took the child from Tykionna Eans at her apartment before attempting to leave town. Eans was identified as the child’s mother.

PBPD reported that Marks was later found at his mother’s home with two packed bags and arrested on Aug. 6.

“Thanks to the swift response of Pine Bluff Patrol Officers and the Pine Bluff Detective’s Office, Marks was taken into custody without incident, and the child was safely returned to the mother,” said PBPD Public Information Specialist John Worthen.
