CLINTON COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Clinton County man allegedly shot at police while being served a warrant in Bald Eagle Township late Tuesday night.

According to State Police, at around 8:50 p.m. Aug. 19, PSP Lamar troopers arrived at a residence on Eagle Valley Road to serve a felony warrant. Once troopers made contact with the intended individual, he fired a shot towards the police before getting into his vehicle and fleeing onto state route 150.

The man then pulled into the Lykens Market convenience store in Beech Creek borough and continued to fire another shot at pursuing troopers. PSP says that a short exchange of gunfire then ensued before the individual was taken into custody without any further incident.

The unidentified man suffered a non-life-threatening injury, according to police, and no one in law enforcement or bystanders was harmed during the event.

An investigation is still ongoing.
