The Leesburg Police Department (LPD) said its investigation into 28-year-old Antonio G. Ford started in March of 2025, when authorities from Florida reached out regarding an ongoing case.
Authorities told LPD that they suspected that the suspect in the case lived in Leesburg and was using electronic communications to solicit the minor.
Investigators identified Ford as the suspect and issued an arrest warrant for him on Wednesday, Aug. 20.
LPD worked with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office and took Ford into custody at Lovettsville Elementary School, where he works as a teacher.
Officials held Ford without bond.
Police asked that anyone with any information contact LPD by calling 703-771-4500 or emailing policeinvestigations@leesburgva.gov. You can also submit a tip anonymously by calling 703-443-TIPS (8477).
