9 injured in Red Wing incident; hazmat crews called in

Three people were hospitalized and six more were treated for injuries after emergency crews were called to an office building in Red Wing on Wednesday.

Fire crews responded to a building on the 4900 block of Learning Lane around 1 p.m. on a report of several people “requiring medical attention,” according to the Red Wing Fire Department.

Three people were brought to the hospital for unspecified injuries, a spokesperson for the fire department added. Six others were treated at the scene and released.

Firefighters did a search of the building, and the hazardous materials team was called in, fire officials added. No hazardous conditions were found at the time.

There is no ongoing risk to the public, the fire department said.
