FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Two men who were accused of shooting a man dead in Fresno last month after a disagreement with him were arrested, Fresno Police announced on Wednesday.
Fresno Police arrested 24-year-old Krishan Kumar and 31-year-old Vishal Vishal following the death of 33-year-old Kuvar Kumar.
On Monday, July 21, at around 7 p.m., officers responded to the area of State Avenue and Acacia Avenue regarding a shooting victim.
Officers say Kuvar was arriving home when he was shot. He was found by police and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police said that Kuvar was shot multiple times, and they found separate shell casings.
Fresno Police said that detectives learned that the shooting was related to an interpersonal conflict and believe the victim was acquainted with the suspects. As detectives received more information, they learned that Krishan and Vishal were not local to Fresno and fled the area right after the shooting.
On Aug. 14, police say coordinated search warrants were executed in Bakersfield and Victorville, leading to the arrests of Krishan and Vishal. Firearms were also discovered.
The two men are facing homicide charges and as well as enhancement charges.
