Liam Spahnle-Bailey, 13, was killed in his sleep inside his Gresham home in the early morning of April 27. The bullet that pierced his bedroom wall at his father’s Eleven Pines Apartments was one of several rounds of gunfire that rang out from a neighboring apartment building.
On Thursday, the Gresham Police Department, the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Service announced a $15,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of three suspects.
Police said Anthony Hunter Jr., Xavier Hirsch and Terrell Coy are the main suspects in the case, and law enforcement officials believe they may have left the Portland area following the shooting.
Both Hunter and Hirsch have ties to Dallas and Fort Worth in Texas, while Coy has connections to Phoenix and Tucson in Arizona.
Photos of all three alleged suspects were released by law enforcement officials in hopes of locating them. Spahnle-Bailey’s family has also released additional photos of the victim.
“If you are hiding these individuals, if you are aiding them in any way, I will prosecute you. This family and this community deserve justice, and this needs to come to an end with those individuals being brought into custody,” said Multnomah County DA Nathan Vasquez.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Gresham police.
