West Side streetwear shop targeted in early-morning smash-and-grab burglary
CHICAGO — Authorities are searching for the thieves responsible for a smash-and-grab burglary at a clothing store on the city’s West Side overnight.

According to police, just before 2 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to a clothing store in the 2100 block of West Division Street in West Town, following a report of a burglary.

The incident appears to have occurred at a shop called “The Gallery,” which specializes in sneakers and streetwear.

Officers arrived and found the shop’s barricade and front entrance had been badly damaged by a box truck that was still on the scene.

A witness later told police that they spotted three unknown males exit the box truck and enter the damaged storefront through a metal gate.

Once inside, the witness told police the thieves stole merchandise before fleeing the store in a black sedan.

The incident appears to have occurred at a shop called The Gallery, which specializes in sneakers and streetwear.

Authorities say no arrests have been made and an investigation into the incident is now underway.
