Anaheim has seen about half a dozen ICE operations since June, with recent raids reported at a Home Depot and Euclid Car Wash. The city, along with local residents, is using social media and its website to provide real-time updates on these activities.
“We have a website … ‘Contigo,’ which means ‘standing with you’ in Spanish, and we track reports and actual incidents throughout our city and the region. We do it in real time,” said Anaheim spokesperson Mike Lyster.
Over the weekend, the city’s website, with the help of community members, reported on a raid at the Home Depot within about 5 minutes after it started. Another raid was reported at the Euclid Car Wash on Saturday, also within about 5 minutes of its commencement.
In a statement, a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson confirmed a recent operation at the Anaheim Home Depot on Aug. 15, 2025, which resulted in the arrest of three people believed to be in the country illegally, who are from Mexico and Guatemala.
Among those arrested was Delfino Hernandez-Jaramillo, who DHS said has previous DUI convictions and has illegally entered the country multiple times.
