Rockford man accused of threatening to kill a woman while holding gun to her back

CHERRY VALLEY, Ill. (WTVO) — Cherry Valley Police arrested Marcus Williams, 30, for allegedly threatening to kill a woman while he held a gun to her back.

Officers were called to the 3200 block of Liberty Boulevard for reports of an assault that happened in a Dairy Queen parking lot on South Perryville Road on August 15.

The victim told authorities the suspect held a gun to her back and demanded money from her.

Officials later found Williams near Andrews Street and North Sunset Avenue and took him into custody around 7:43 p.m.

He is charged with aggravated assault while using a deadly weapon.

William’s mugshot was not readily available.
