One dead in I-70 crash in Wabaunsee County
MCFARLAND (KSNT) – One person is dead after a crash on I-70 in Wabaunsee County.

A spokeswoman for the Kansas Highway Patrol says the crash involved one vehicle and had multiple occupants. The KHP says one person died in the crash. As of 10 a.m., there is a helicopter at the scene.

The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) reports through KanDrive that as of 9:25 a.m. on Aug. 20, both lanes on westbound I-70 are closed. KanDrive reports that drivers should look out for a crash on I-70 between KS-99 and KS-185. Traffic is being routed through a waystation.

KDOT reports the lanes are expected to be closed until 12:15 p.m. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
