Staff report
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Several Monroe County government buildings, including the Justice Building at 7th and College, were closed Tuesday and will remain shut until Thursday, according to an alert issued by the county.
The closure affects the Justice Building along with the Fiscus, Curry and Johnson Hardware buildings. Normal operations are expected to resume Thursday, Aug. 21, the county said.
All divisions of the Monroe Circuit Court — including the Prosecutor’s Office, Public Defender, Probation, and Clerk — are also closed until Thursday.
Those with scheduled court hearings or probation appointments are instructed to contact the appropriate office Thursday morning to reschedule.
The county sent a second message saying, “The reason for the closure is disruption to Offices and Court space as maintenance remediates previously identified mold activity.”
