El Toril Mexican Restaurant announced on social media that they will be bringing a brand-new location to Pomeroy, Ohio. They say the new Meigs County location is set to open in Summer 2026.
According to the restaurant’s Facebook page, this project has already been in development for more than a year. El Toril Co-Owner Emmanuel Valadez tells WOWK 13 News that the restaurant is slated to be built near the Powell’s Food Fair in the area where the former Midwest Steel/Mountaineer Metals Building once stood.
“We are thrilled to officially announce what many of you have already speculated… El Toril Mexican Restaurant is arriving in 2026!” The restaurant’s post said. “Get ready for bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and exceptional service in the heart of Pomeroy. This endeavor would not be possible without the incredible support of our community. From the bottom of our hearts, we extend our sincerest gratitude. Because of your support, we can continue our passion and serve you.”
Valadez says that right now, they estimate this will bring approximately 25-35 new jobs to Pomeroy.
The restaurant’s main location is at 1510 Eastern Avenue in Gallipolis. El Toril says they will have more updates and details throughout the process and as the opening date draws closer.
