A statement posted to Facebook by Danville High School Principal Tressie Fowler said that 2026 Danville High School senior William Nate Foster had passed.
“The death of a young person is difficult for all of us,” Fowler wrote. “If your student is affected by the news, it is essential that they share their feelings, and reach out to others for support.”
Fowler added in the post that there will be support resources available to students, staff members, and parents in the school on Wednesday, noting that school counselors and local church leaders will be available to talk.
The post did not state what caused the student’s death.
“On behalf of all members of the school staff, our deepest condolences are with family and friends during this difficult time,” Fowler concluded.
