Bay Area warmup begins Wednesday, heat advisory issued

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Wednesday will bring the big warmup we have been talking about as daytime highs inland will rush upwards towards 100 degrees. Along the bayshore, 70s and 80s remain steady.

Thursday will be the very hottest day of the forecast with temperatures well into the triple digits. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory that begins Thursday at 10 a.m. and runs through 10 p.m. Friday. Affected areas include most interior portions of the Bay Area and Central Coast.

The region will see one more extreme heat day on Friday before we gradually cool down into the weekend and next week.

Sunrise in San Francisco is at 6:30 a.m. Sunset is at 7:55 p.m.
