The shooting happened during an argument, police said. Lucas Chan was arrested and booked into the Alameda County Santa Rita Jail for homicide.
During the homicide investigation, detectives also found improvised explosive devices, a 3D printer and multiple ghost guns at Lucas Chan’s Pleasanton home. The explosives were removed by the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team.
“Currently, there is no known threat to public safety,” Pleasanton PD said.
The investigation is ongoing, and no other details have been released at this time. Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Pleasanton PD.
