Two former Wagener fire chiefs arrested by SLED

WAGENER, S.C. (WJBF) – Two former Wagener fire chiefs were arrested by SLED Tuesday morning.

52-year-old David Watson of Neece, S.C., was booked into Aiken County Detention Center at 7:35 a.m. According to booking info, he’s charged with Breach of Trust with Fraudulent Intent, Value of $10,000 or more.

66-year-old Joseph “Mark” Redd of Wagener, was also booked into the Aiken County Detention Center at the same time. He’s charged with Misconduct in Office, Malfeasance (wrongdoing of a public official), Misfeasance (wrongful exercise of lawful authority), or Nonfeasance (failure to perform an act that is required by law), as well as Breach of Trust with Fraudulent Intent, Value More than $2,000 but Less Than $10,000.
