Tiffany Capers brings 25 years of experience in the nonprofit and public sectors to her new role, including a record of community leadership, strategic planning and systems-focused advocacy.

At Renaissance West Community Initiative, I’m excited to work alongside an inspiring team, a legacy-rich community and continue investing in holistic strategies that uplift families, create pathways to opportunity, strengthen systems of support and facilitate collective impact. While my organizational home is changing, my commitment remains the same: advancing vibrant communities through connection, collaboration and compassion.

She most recently served as the Executive Director of CrossRoads Corporation for Affordable Housing and Community Development, where she led a holistic neighborhood revitalization effort in Charlotte’s historic Grier Heights community.

Prior to her time at CrossRoads, Capers spent 11 years with Teach For America, serving as Managing Director, where she led strategy, public affairs and development initiatives. Her earlier career also includes tenures at the Foundation For The Carolinas and the City of Charlotte.

Capers is also widely recognized for her civic and volunteer leadership. She has served as a co-facilitator and leader with Black Lives Matter Charlotte and currently holds board positions with the Charlotte Post Foundation and GenerationNation. Additionally, she contributes to strategic community efforts as a member of the YMCA Community Impact Committee.

Her deep commitment to equity, community-driven change and strategic leadership aligns perfectly with RWCI.
