PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two-time Olympian Jade Carey is heading back to Corvallis to join the OSU Gymnastics staff as a Student Assistant Coach, the team announced Tuesday.

Carey is coming off a successful collegiate career with the Beavers, as well as being an Olympic member of Team USA. While at OSU, she set program records in event titles (168) and perfect 10s (16).

Oregon State’s head coach, Tanya Chaplin, noted that, “Jade’s experience and passion for excellence are such an asset to our program and I’m excited to have her join our staff. I know she will continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our student-athletes.”

At the most recent NCAA regionals, Carey won all five events, rounding out her career with 13 regular-season All-American honors.

At the 2024 NCAA Championships, Carey scored a 39.700 in the all-around, which earned her a silver medal. That same year, she went on to compete at the Paris Olympics, winning her second gold medal with Team USA and a bronze in the vault final. She also won gold on the floor exercise at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
