“I am proud of what we have accomplished for our community in my first year in office,” Vella explained in a news release. “Throughout this past year, I have worked to support our local economy and ensure that working families had the help they needed to make ends meet.”
Vella plans to continue serving parts of Rockford, Loves Park, and Belvidere while addressing any challenges that arise.
“Together, we have faced some challenges and achieved victories. But we have more challenges, and there is more work to be done,” Vella said.
The representative’s constituents have praised him for his involvement with providing support for veterans and addressing the cost of living.
Vella will be running against Republican and Rockford businesswoman, Kathy Eston.
