Father of Cullman spa owner charged with opium trafficking being sought by police

CULLMAN, Ala. (WIAT) — The Cullman Police Department is currently looking for a man wanted on several charges, including drug trafficking.

Last week, Whitney Cheatham was arrested and charged with several drug charges connected to her business, Infusion Wellness Spa. Specifically, she was charged with three counts of trafficking opium, conspiracy to traffic opium, 11 counts of forgery and six counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance. Now, police are seeking Cheatham’s father, Kelvin Neal Cheatham.

Cheatham, 55, was previously arrested and charged with first-degree rape and second-degree sodomy involving a minor in 2008, but pleaded to a lesser charge of sexual misconduct the following year. According to his plea agreement, Cheatham was sentenced to a split year-long prison sentence, where he only served six months.
