Storms diminish for Sunday night ahead of making a comeback for Monday

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – It’s been a stormy Sunday night with reports of downed trees and powerlines up in St. Tammy Parish by St. Tammany Fire Protection District 3, but the worst of it is done so quieter times briefly until Monday.

Taking a look at some of the rain amounts along both the North and South Shores:

And taking a look at rain chances through the night, you can see that it’ll make a return for Monday:

The showers and storms for Monday will be on the cusp between scattered and widespread with more people being impacted so let’s head over to FUTURECAST to see if you’ll be one of them:

Lots of early morning sunshine so watching the sunrise or enjoying your breakfast out on the patio/balcony before the “heat of summer” really kicks in is not a bad idea!

Then come lunchtime, we’ll start seeing showers and storms moving throughout the area.

As for temperatures, Sunday night will “cool” down into the low 80s then heating back into the 90s for Monday.
